These guys are SO predictable

Early this morning, I heard some talk about Hillary Clinton's campaign video lampooning "The Sopranos," and everybody was trashing it -- lame, either these things are funny or not and this one is not, etc.

They were right -- I just watched it. Professionally produced, but it just didn't work. You know what struck me as surprising? Hillary's acting was better than Bill's. He was trying hard, but he came across as trying hard, and his lines were wooden. She was more into it, more real.

Anyway, that's the way it is. But you just can't trust political partisans to see things straight, can you? I had lunch with a leading South Carolina political consultant today, and we somehow got on the subject of the video. He said it was really good -- witty, amusing, good production values.

Who was this totally biased viewer? Darrell Jackson?

No. It was Richard Quinn. You know, John McCain's consultant. Smart guy, but he don't know from gangster parodies.
